Day Seven: Chabad and Basketball

Posted on Wednesday, 12/17/2014

On Tuesday, the boys travelled along with Dovid Shmookler and Mihal Spitzer to the Montefiore Cemetery to visit the Ohel, the final resting place of the Lubavitcher Rebbe. During this very emotional, spiritual and therapeutic trip, the boys put on Teffilin, prayed and left letters for the Rebbe.

Next the boys travelled to Crown Heights to visit 770 Chabad-Lubavitch World Headquarters, where a young student had been the victim of a stabbing just the week before. The boys had a private tour of the Rebbe’s room and offices.
The next stop was Brooklyn Zoo, the deceptively named gym with obstacle courses and recreational physical training. The boys lit Menorah with the host, and enjoyed a refreshing lunch.
Finally, the boys ended their long day with a Nets Game at Barclays Center, hosted by David Dweck, in honor of the Bar Mitzvah of his son Jack.
