On October 7, 2023, YK was shot in both legs while bravely protecting the community of Kibbutz Be’eri. One bullet shattered his left femur before exiting through his groin, while another entered above his right knee and also exited through his groin. Since that day, he has endured constant, excruciating physical pain and undergone multiple surgeries and treatments in Israel, none of which have brought relief.
Today, YK lives with daily physical suffering, PTSD, and anxiety. He is currently in New York, consulting with urologists, neurologists and other specialists.
Belev Echad is covering all of YK’s current medical and living expenses in New York. We are seeking support to help cover the two surgeries, at $75,000 each, along with related medical and living expenses while YK continues his treatment.
