Help Noam Walk Again

Dear Friends

I’m reaching out to share a deeply personal story and to ask for your help in making a life-changing difference for one of our incredible soldiers, Noam. Noam is in need of a high-quality prosthetic leg that will allow them the ability to live life without limitations.

Noam served in the Golani Brigade. On October 7th, he volunteered to stay on base for Shabbat when terror unfolded. He and 5 other soldiers were sent to Kibbutz Alumim near Be’eri to combat terrorists. Soon they realized  it was the 6 of them vs.120 terrorists. During the fight, Noam faced two terrorists at point-blank range. He neutralized both of them, but as the second terrorist fell, three bullets hit Noam—one in his left knee, one below his chest, and one in his neck. The neck wound tore nerves connected to his arm and shoulder, leaving his arm temporarily paralyzed. Miraculously, he regained movement but continues to face neuropathy and range-of-motion issues. Two and a half hours after the injury, a fellow soldier brought Noam to safety. After six and a half hours a Sayeret Matkal unit passing by evacuated him to Soroka Hospital. He arrived ten hours after his injury, in critical condition, immediately underwent surgeries, and was placed on a ventilator for four days. Following a high leg amputation, he was transferred to orthopedic rehabilitation at Tel Hashomer for five months of intensive recovery, working on his arm and learning to walk with a prosthetic.

We are trying to raise $45000 to give Noam a prosthetic leg and knee and to restore his mobility but also provide the opportunity for Noam to return to a life of independence. Any contribution you can provide brings us one step closer to giving Noam the life he deserves.
