A Legacy of Compassion. A Gift of Healing. A Commitment to Those Who Gave Everything.

Belev Echad — “One Heart” — is a remarkable Israeli organization devoted to the lifelong rehabilitation and support of severely wounded IDF soldiers. While many programs focus on immediate medical care, Belev Echad focuses on what comes after: restoring independence, emotional wellbeing, community, and purpose. Through residential housing, therapeutic retreats, job training, and a lifelong support network, Belev Echad ensures that these young men are never left to rebuild their lives alone.

The Newman family’s partnership with Belev Echad began with a deeply meaningful act of generosity — the dedication of the living room in the organization’s new Jerusalem residence. Thoughtfully designed as a sanctuary of comfort and connection, this space provides wounded soldiers not just a place to rest, but a place to feel at home as they begin the long journey of rebuilding their lives. It now stands in partnership with the Belev Echad residence in Kiryat Ono, reflecting a continuum of care rooted in dignity, community, and healing.

Please join our family and support one of the many important and impactful Belev Echad programs–Therapy Dogs!

These extraordinary companions offer far more than comfort. They help restore trust, ease trauma, reduce anxiety, and bring joy and companionship to soldiers navigating life after severe injury. In many cases, these dogs become an essential part of a soldier’s emotional healing and renewed independence.

With a vision to fund 36 therapy dogs, the Newman family is creating a living legacy of compassion and healing. Each dog, sponsored at $5,400, represents not simply a donation, but a life changed — a daily companion, a source of stability, and a bridge back to hope. Overall, the organization has a goal to help 200 soldiers this year with a therapy dog.

We invite you to join the Newman family in this deeply meaningful initiative — to stand with those who have sacrificed so much, and to take part in a legacy that restores dignity, independence, and the human spirit.

This is not simply charity.
It is legacy. It is healing. It is heart.

We appreciate your support!

With Love and Respect, Phylis and Alan
