They were ordinary young men and women, some still in their teens, when they dropped everything and ran into Gaza to protect Israel. One day they were in school, at work, or at home with their families. The next, they were on the front lines, fully aware that the sacrifice could change their lives forever.
Many did come home, but they returned changed in ways no one prepares for. Some lost an arm or a leg while stopping Hamas and protecting others. They survived the battlefield, only to face a new reality where independence is no longer guaranteed and even the simplest daily tasks require tremendous effort.
When Israel needed them, they did not hesitate to sacrifice their bodies for the safety of others. Now it is our responsibility not to hesitate for them. Specialized prosthetics can restore mobility, independence, and dignity to wounded IDF soldiers who sacrificed everything to defend their people.
