“There is a long road to recovery ahead, and right now, there’s an endless stream of wounded soldiers who need our help.”
Raz Budani, Co-director of Programs in Israel
Immediately upon the start of the war, Belev Echad jumped into action, almost doubling our staff and expanding our services drastically. We visit every hospital in Israel daily and send urgent military and medical supplies to the frontlines — all of which are packaged and prepared in the Belev Echad house.
Most significantly, the Belev Echad House was transformed into a rehabilitation center to assist with hospital overflow. We transformed six gathering rooms into treatment rooms to allow for an expansion of critical therapeutic services.
Belev Echad’s services are so crucial to the war effort that the Israeli Government formally recognized our organization, and we have since established a formal partnership. Soldiers are now sent to the Belev Echad house for treatment as suggested by the Government of Israel.
“The house serves as a place to mourn and heal, but it’s also refreshing and has a way of giving you a good energy and good vibes. It has helped me take the memories of those we’ve lost and make them more alive.”
Dana Ophir, Belev Echad Volunteer
